Carolyn Mae "Carol" Nealey

May 16, 1943 — December 11, 2017

Service for Carolyn Mae Nealey will be 3:00 p.m., Friday, December 15, 2017 at Inola Funeral Home Chapel. Carol passed away on Monday, December 11, 2017, at her home with family by her side. She was 74.

Born May 16, 1943 in Sallisaw, Oklahoma to Richard Edward and Ruth Elizabeth (Williams) Foreman, Carol received her education from Wetumka and Wagoner schools. Following her education, she married Raymond Nealey on June 19, 1959. The couple made Wagoner home for a time, later they moved to Broken Arrow. Coweta was home for a while before they moved to Inola in 1993.

Carol's first priority was her family, and she made sure they had everything they needed. She was a great seamstress, and her girls were the best dressed in school. When her children were older, she began a 43 year career with Avon, being the top sales lady in 3 states. Carol wasn’t afraid of anything; she could work alongside her husband, baling hay, tend to her large garden and can its bounty, and then dress up in her high heels and go to dinner. Carol taught by example a work ethic second to none. She gave her all and never gave up. A great cook, she loved fixing holiday meals, and before Thanksgiving she would have around 23 pies; everyone’s favorite. It was also said that her fried chicken was the best in the country.

When time allowed, Carol enjoyed hunting and fishing; and was quite the deer hunter. Her faith in God was strong and she passed this down to her children as well.

Her family members that survive include her children, Suzy Sisco and husband Ray of Coweta, Donna Hanlon and husband Tracy, Judy Rhodes and husband Charles, and Troy Nealey, all of Inola; her grandchildren, Brandon Sisco, Andrea Dean, Colton Sisco, Kristin Taylor, and Juelya Rhodes; ten great-grandchildren; her siblings, Glendal Foreman, Barbara Weese, Phyllis Landcaster, Darlene Maul, Gerald Foreman and Gary Foreman.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents; husband Raymond; infant son Bobby Ray Nealey; and siblings, Carl Foreman, Dale Foreman, and Dwayne Foreman.
