Cody Allen Thurman

Service for Cody Allen Thurman will be 10:00a.m., Tuesday, June 6, 2017 at Claremore Assembly of God Church; burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery. Friends may visit at the funeral home on Monday, June 5 from 1pm--8pm, with family receiving visitors from 6pm--8pm. Cody passed away on Tuesday, May 30, 2017. He was 26.

Born August 22, 1990 in Claremore, Oklahoma to John Fredrick Thurman and Rhonda Kay (Thomas) Thurman, Cody received his education in Catoosa. He continued his education by attending Connors State College in Muskogee. Cody worked for Traick Trucking following his schooling.

Cody's hobbies were deer hunting and fishing, and he went every chance had. He also enjoyed drawing in his spare time. Cody loved his family and loved spending time with his nieces, nephew and cousins. He always had his brothers' back and would come to their defense at a moment’s notice. Cody had a wonderful sense of humor and loved keeping everyone laughing.

Those family members that survive include his parents Freddy Thurman of Catoosa and Rhonda Thurman of Checotah; his grandparents Mary Etta and John Thurman and Carol White; his brothers Dakota Thurman and partner Brian Buck of Piedmont, OK, Austin Thurman and fiancée Amanda of Sperry, Thomas "T.J." Thurman of Catoosa, and Ryan Dierker; his sister Chloe Jones of Muskogee; his nieces Dustie Elain Thurman and Kynsley Lanlana Thurman, and nephew Koen Fredrick Thurman; his aunts Diana Thurman and Allison Thomas.

Cody was preceded in death by his uncle Shawn Thomas and aunt Regina Smith.
