David Walton

On Monday, May 28th, David Wayne Walton, beloved father, son, grandpa, uncle, brother, cousin, and friend, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.


David was born in Claremore to John Sr. and Virginia (Smith) Walton, August 13, 1956 . He will forever be remembered by his sisters, Barbara Torkelson of Claremore, Glenna Williams of Wagoner, and Debbie Morgan and husband Donnie Morgan, Sr. of Claremore, his daughter, Leslie Jones and her husband Gerald of Goodman, Missouri, his sons, Jason (JT) Walton of Claremore, and Zach Walton of Texas; grandchildren Tyler, Colton, Parker, and Tucker; nephews Scott Boudreaux and Bud Taha, nieces Shannon Daane, Shelly Brown, Tammy Remy, Johnna Morgan, Lindsey Michener, Cindy Taha and Rhonda Taha; several great nieces and nephews and too many wonderful cousins and extended family and friends to list.



David was a 1974 graduate of Claremore Sequoyah High School, and was preceded in death by his parents, John Sr. and Virginia Walton, his brothers, Gary Walton and John Walton, his sister Connie Taha and her husband Shawkat Taha, and his nephews Chris Boudreaux and Shawn Walton; he went to Heaven on the same day with his beloved nephew Donnie Morgan, Jr.

David’s Celebration of Life will be Friday, June 1, at 11:00 a.m., Cedar Point Church in Claremore.
