Diana Renae Kohler

January 16, 1959 — May 17, 2017

Lifelong Chelsea area resident Diana Renae Kohler passed into eternal peace on Wednesday morning, May 17, 2017 at Hillcrest Hospital in Tulsa.

Diana Renae Gifford was born January 16, 1959 in Claremore to Don and Shirley Jenkins Gifford.

She spent her entire educational career in Chelsea schools, where she was involved in band and FHA. She graduated in May 1977.

It was at Chelsea schools that Diana met the love of her life and best friend, Don Kohler. Don and Diana were married January 17, 1977 in Miami, Oklahoma during Diana’s senior year of high school.

Growing up, Diana was involved with the Girls Auxiliary program at the First Baptist Church where she was saved and baptized.

Diana began her homemaking career early in life, caring for her siblings while her mother worked. After her marriage, she enjoyed spoiling her husband, daughter and grandsons.

Diana developed a passion for collecting antiques, which she refurbished to complement their original beauty. This passion led to one of her favorite pastimes, being a small business owner. She also enjoyed being outdoors, fishing, taking family camping trips, and vacationing in the RV.
Preceding her in death was her mother, Shirley Gregory; dad, Don Gifford; brother Steven Maggard; mother and father-in-law Peggy and Charlie Kohler; grandmother, Ada Patton Brown, and aunt, Margie Patton.

Survivors include husband Don Kohler of the home, Kristy Kohler Blackburn and grandsons Aiden and Evan Blackburn. Also surviving is her sister, Jeri Lynn Roberts and family, Tom Farmer, Doug, Sara, and Steven Roberts and their families.
