Gary Gene Bowman, Jr.

Graveside service for Gary Gene "Pete" Bowman, Jr. will be 10 a.m., Wed., July 27, at Chelsea Cemetery with Pastor Tim Taylor officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Chelsea Funeral Home & Cremation Service. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Tues. 1-8 p.m.

Pete passed away on Wed., July 20, 2016, at the age of 39.

The son of Gary Gene Bowman and Barbara Jean (Cunningham) Bowman was born July 23, 1976, in Cudahy, Wisconsin. At the age of 2, the family moved to Chelsea. Gary graduated in 1994 from Chelsea High School where he was active in football, basketball, baseball, and show choir. After high school he played six years of semi-pro football. On December 2, 2014, he married Jamie Lynn Fuqua in Miami, and they made their home in Chelsea.

Gary enjoyed spending time with his son, Rogerick, and his family. He also enjoyed golfing, fishing, cooking and grilling, watching horse racing, being outdoors, storm chasing; and he loved OU football. He attended Common Ground Cowboy Church in Foyil.

He was preceded in death by his father, Gary.

Gary is survived by his wife, Jamie of the home; son, Rogerick Bowman; mother, Barbara Bowman; brother, Paul Bowman; sisters: Amy Marone and Jennifer Rolen; nieces and nephews: Alyssa, Darian, Hunter, McKenzie, Stephanie, Bailey, Spencer, and Barry; uncles: Don Bowman and Ed Cunningham; aunts: Yvonne Amos, Pam Rue, Anna Parks, Sue Hardage, and Pat Spangler; a host of cousins; and dear friend, LaQuesta Most.
