Visitation for John Patrick McGillicuddy will be Friday 1-8 p.m. at the Inola Funeral Home & Crematory.
John passed away Mon., Oct. 21, 2013, at Hillcrest Hospital, Tulsa, at the age of 69.
The son of Joseph Bernard “J.B.” and Evon (Taylor) McGillicuddy was born Oct. 13, 1944, in Wellington, KS. From an early age John’s passion was horses. He grew up raising and riding horses. In 1962, he graduated from Wellington High School. John lived in Wichita, KS and Little Rock, AR before moving to Bixby in 1986. John worked as a district manager for Trailways and Greyhound Lines. He retired in 1992. John also co-owned and operated Mingo Stables where he and his daughter, Michelle, worked together. In 2006, he moved to Inola. John’s life was his daughters, grandchildren, and his horses.
John was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Debbie McGillicuddy; siblings: Jerry McGillicuddy, Shirley Metivier, and an infant sister; and son-in-law, Jeffrey Harrington.
He is survived by his daughters: Michelle Harrington of Inola, and Angela LaFantasie of Claremore; sister-in-law, Gladys “Babe” McGillicuddy of Wellington, KS; and grandchildren: Serena Harrington, Aidan Harrington, Jessica LaFantasie, Moody Mustafa, Saleem Mustafa, and Ava LaFantasie-Clontz.
