Then his life long love of Claremore began. As he went through school, he began excelling in sports, especially football. In fact after graduating with the class of 1958, Kenneth continued his football career at the College of the Ozarks and Northeastern State University.

After college Kenneth began his working career. He first took a job working for Douglas in Tulsa. Then wanting to peruse a job as a police officer, he moved to Dallas, Texas. However is desire to become a police officer changed, and he took a job working for Collins Radio. After a short time there he began his 30 year Career with BOSCO.

June 12, 1965 Kenneth married Patsy Ruth Shaw. A co-worker he had met while at Collins Radio. Shortly after their marriage they moved to Oklahoma City where Kenneth opened the new BOSCO store. A few years later he would open another store in Tulsa, that allowed him to return home to Claremore. Upon retiring from BOSCO, Kenneth took a job working for Bechtel. A job that took him to Algeria, Mexico and Houston over the next few years.

When Kenneth completely quite working, it gave him even more time to enjoy doing the things he loved. Such as attending as many Zebra sporting events as possible, going out to eat with his Friday dinner club, playing dominoes down at Ernie's, helping many of his stonegate neighbors, and watching the Justice /Tiawah Wildcats the Oklahoma Sooners and the Dallas Cowboys play. However after the birth of his grandchildren, Kenneth made sure that everything he did revolved around them.

He is preceded in death by his father Kenneth, mother, Katherine Hautfeild and step father, W.L. Sawyer.
