Neta Mae Wilson

Funeral services for Neta Mae Wilson will be held on Monday, December 5, 2016 at the House of Prayer in Foyil, Oklahoma. Reverend Tony Wisdom, nephew and Pastor of Grove First Assembly of God, will officiate. Burial will follow at Chelsea Cemetery under the direction of the Chelsea Funeral Home & Crematory. Neta Mae Wilson affectionately known by many as “Sissy”, passed away on Wednesday, November 30, 2016 at the age of 81.
The daughter of Earl and Pansy Victory Wilson, she was born March 5, 1935 in Chelsea, Oklahoma. There she was raised, and attended Chelsea Public Schools. Graduating as a member of the class of 1953. After graduating she continued working in the Chelsea community at places such as, Ed South's Bakery, The Pig and Pen and of course the Chelsea Mill. However after a few years, Neta wanted to try something different. So she moved to Tulsa, and took a job working for NBT Bank in the proofing department. This lasted till the mid 1960's, and then she returned home to help in the family business. Once back at the mill Neta decided to take on another business venture. This turned the Chelsea Mill into The Chelsea Mill and Green House. Which she and her family operated until retiring in the early 2000’s.
In her spare time Neta had a few interests that she truly enjoyed. Collecting Precious Moments and guardian angels were a couple of them. Then there was "junking" as she called it. She loved going to small antique stores and flea markets looking for those lost treasures. However her most precious times were those spent with her family, especially her nieces and nephews, and lets not forget her beloved little dogs in particular, Gizmo.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Pansy Wilson; brother, Arlin Wilson; sister-in-law, Judy Wilson; nephew, Dale Wilson, and great-great-nephew, Emmitt Wilson, and foster brother Joe Watkins.
Survivors include her brother, Jim Wilson and wife Stephanie; wife of the late Joe Watkins, Betty; niece, Debbie Mills and husband Doug; great nieces and nephews, Joy Wisdom and husband Tony, Matt Wilson and wife Falon, Amy Mills and fiancé Ryan Jahn, Brian Mills and wife Kaitlyn and Blake Mills; great-great nieces and nephews, Timothy, James, Johnathan, Thomas, and JoyAnna Wisdom; and Gracie, Carter, and Macie Wilson.
