Olive Loraine Stanley

Service for Olive Loraine Stanley was 10:30a.m., Monday, January 23, 2017 at MMS-Payne Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was at 4:00p.m., at Pryor Cemetery in Stewart, Oklahoma. Olive passed away on Thursday, January 19, 2017 at Claremore Nursing Home. She was 100.

Olive was born February 22, 1916 in Blossom, Texas to William Carrol and Dorcus Minerva (Addy) Watson. She married Maxie Leon Burks in October of 1935. He passed away in July of 1941. Olive later married Alfred M. Stanley on March 22, 1961. She worked as a bank teller for 25 years at Midland National Bank, retiring in 1977.

Those family members that survived include her children, Bill Burks and wife Helen of Claremore, Tom Burks and wife Judy of Pryor; grandchildren, Brad Burks and wife Peggy of Owasso, Blake Burks and wife Dina of Tulsa, Brent Burks of Claremore, Steve Burks and wife Diane of Weatherford, Texas, and Scott Burks and wife Corinne; great-grandchildren, Michael Burks of Tulsa, Joshua Burks and Jonah Burks of Oklahoma City, Sarah Burks of Prosper, Texas, Jobie Burks of Orlando, Florida, Braden Burks of Weatherford, Texas, Andrew Burks and Elizabeth Burks of Tulsa, and Jordan Burks, also of Weatherford, Texas. Olive was preceded in death by her parents, and her husbands, Maxie Leon Burks and Alfred M. Stanley.
