Graveside service for Phillip Norton Stroud will be 11 a.m., Tues., May 3, at Shawnee Indian Cemetery with Pastor Weldon Foster officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Chelsea Funeral Home & Cremation Service. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Tues. 9-10 a.m.
Phillip passed away Sat., April 30, 2016, at the Claremore Veterans Center at the age of 80.
The son of John Stroud and Billie (Norton) Stroud was born October 29, 1935, in Denver, CO. Phillip grew up in Los Angeles, CA, and moved to Oklahoma in 1977. He married Roberta Sue (Goodson) West later that year and they made their home in Tulsa. They moved to Big Cabin in 2002. He worked as an electrician in the construction industry, and enjoyed outdoors, working with tools, and making leather craft.
Phillip was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Denny Stroud.
He is survived by his wife, Roberta of the home; step-children: Bryan, Jackie, Tina, and Rayburn; and sisters: Sherri Goch and Jackie Peatzik both of California.
