Memorial service for Raymond Lester "Ray" Goodger will be held at 2:00p.m., Friday, July 1, 2016 at Cedar Point Church. Pastor Rick Burke will share words of comfort. Ray passed away on Tuesday, June 28, 2016 at the age of 48.
Born February 18, 1968 in Denver, Colorado to Donald Leroy and Janet (Hunt) Goodger. Ray's family made many communities home through the years. He finished his high school years in Kellyville where he graduated with the class of 1987. Ray went to work for John Lee Celtic Metals following his schooling. Later he began driving a truck and working as a diesel mechanic.
Ray was an outstanding mechanic and could make anything run that had a motor. He loved racing cars and spent many hours on the track. His hobbies were anything to do with racing. He also took metal and sculpted cars, planes and many other things. Ray was not afraid of a hard days work and spent his time off working on his latest project.
Those family members that survive included his children Brittany Parks, Brittney Banks and Christopher Fargo; his mother Janet Alston and husband Jim; his siblings Rhonda Wilkinson and husband Leon, Joyce Little and husband Tony, Donald Goodger and wife Cheryl and Allen Goodger; his grandmother Olive Hunt; his close friend Michelle Taylor and many nieces and nephews. Ray was preceded in death by his father Donald Leroy Goodger and his grandfather Kenneth Hunt
