Funeral service for Robert Lee "Bob" Smith will be 1 p.m., Monday, August 15, at Cedar Point Church with Pastor Rick Burke officiating. Burial will follow at Lone Elm Cemetery under the direction of MMS-Payne Funeral Home & Cremation Service. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Sunday 1-6 p.m.

Bob passed away Monday, August 8, 2016, at St. John Hospital, Tulsa, at the age of 72.

The son of Ben and Francis (Wisdom) Curley was born May 16, 1944, in Waukegan, Illinois. At a young age, the family moved to Muskogee where Bob was raised. He later moved to Tulsa where he met Karen Lee Kelley. In 1966 they married in Tulsa. They made their home there for several years, and in 1979 moved to Claremore.

Bob owned Bob's Auto Body Shop in Claremore for 25 years. He was a competitive bass fisherman who won many awards and prizes. His favorite place to fish was on Grand Lake. Bob attended Cedar Point Church.

Bob is preceded in death by his wife, Karen Lee Smith; his parents; and brother, John Smith.

He is survived by his sons: Robby Smith and wife, Aleaha, and Ricky Smith all of Claremore; sisters: Sheila Yandell and husband, James of Muskogee, and Ann Conaway; half-brother, Charlie Curley of Muskogee; and grandchildren: Hunter Smith, Jordan Smith, Jack Smith, Grace Smith, Jace Smith, Annie Smith, Ty Gorham, Landon Smith, Sagelee Smith, and Brenner Smith.
