Shannon Michelle Hendrix

Shannon Michelle (Goodin) Hendrix passed away Sun., July 10, 2016, at Clarehouse at the age of 50.

Graveside service for Shannon will be 10:00a.m., Thursday, July 14, 2016 at Woodlawn Cemetery. Friends may visit at the funeral home from 1pm--8pm on Wednesday, July 13 with family receiving visitors from 6pm--8pm.

Born on December 2, 1965 in Claremore, Oklahoma to Michael and Dorothea (Frose) Goodin, Shannon was reared and educated in her home community of Claremore, graduating with the class of 1984 from Claremore High School. Following her graduation, she married Arthur Dale Hendrix, Jr. on May 25, 1984; the couple made their home in Claremore where they raised two children. Shannon worked for the University of Oklahoma as a student coordinator, but her first priority was her family.

Fun times included traveling, collecting Charlie Brown memorabilia and Precious Memory figurines. Shannon was an avid Thunder Fan and loved watching them play. Throughout her illness, she fought each battle one at a time and looked for the best in every outcome. She drew strength from God and her family, who lovingly cared for her.

A wonderful wife, mother, daughter and friend, Shannon is survived by her husband Dale of their home; her daughter Amy Dawn Hendrix of Claremore; her son Matthew Dale Hendrix of Moore; her mom Dorothea Goodin of Claremore; her sister Lynn Sanders and husband Mike of Claremore; her brother John Goodin and wife Pat of Colorado; her mother and father-in-law Pat and Dale Hendrix of Claremore, her brother-in-law Darrell Hendrix and wife Kathy and numerous nieces and nephews. Shannon was preceded in death by her father Michael Goodin.
