Graveside services for Teddy Hardison will be 2:00p.m., Thursday, May 5, 2016 at Washington Cemetery. Friends may visit at the funeral home on Wednesday, from 3pm--8pm.

Theodore Lee "Teddy" Hardison passed away on Friday, April 29, 2016 at Claremore Nursing Home, Jesse, Donna and Jamie were by his side. He was 72.

Born February 17, 1944 in Claremore, Oklahoma to Theodore Garland and Lela Naomi (Hoffman) Hardison, Teddy was reared and educated near his birth community. At a young age 17 he began working for the Lowrance Ranch, learning ranching industry from the ground up. He also worked for a time at the Will Rogers Memorial. Most recently he worked in maintenance at Wood Manor Nursing Home until his retirement in 2006. On September 1, 1962 Teddy married Linda at Lone Elm Church. They lived in Claremore except for a brief period when they lived in Oklahoma City. Later they made their home in Chelsea. When Linda passed away in 2000, Teddy's sister-in-law Barbara Sumter and her husband J.R. lovingly looked after him and they have held a special place in his heart. On August 18, 2001 Teddy married Jamie Sue Rhodes Rousey and the couple made their home in the Claremore area.

Teddy loved fishing and would spend many hours relaxing on the banks of an area lake. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and watching old western movies on TV.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Theodore and Lela, his brother Floyd Hardison and wife Velda, sister Geneva Hardison Hollis and her husband, sister Juanita, sister Opal Hardison Huston and husband Dee, brother Carl Hardison, sister Donna Kay Hardison-Pruitt and husband Albert Blank, brother-in-law and sister-in-law Melvin and Sue Wells, brother-in-law Buster Wells, brother-in-law J.R. Sumter and father-in-law and mother-in-law Jesse and Credith Wells.

Those family members that survive include his wife Jamie Hardison of Claremore; Son David Hardison and wife Judee of Collinsville, son Tim Hardison and wife Amy of Del City; step children Jessica Hundley and husband Dennis, Jesse Rousey and wife Whitney, Lillian Rousey, Roberta Rouse, Jamie Rousey-Burdick and husband Zach, Donna Rousey and April Rousey; grandchildren Cameron Hardison, Taylor Hardison and Travis Hardison; 18 step grandchildren; sister Bonnie McDaniel, sisters-in-law Barbara Sumter, Dana Fae Hardison and Beulah Wells; father and mother-in-law Robert and Vilma Rose and many nieces, nephews cousins and friends also the co-workers at Wood Manor Nursing Home, the staff at Claremore Nursing Home and the staff of Cura Hospice that loving cared for him.
