Abigail Lynn Stinnett

Funeral service for Claremore resident, Abigail Lynn Stinnett will be 2:00 pm Friday, November 1, 2019, at First Baptist Church of Claremore. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery. Visitation will be at MMS-Payne Funeral Home on Thursday, October 31, from 1-8 pm. Abigail passed away on Saturday, October 26, 2019. She was 13 years old.
The daughter of Brenden Duke Stinnett and Cynthia Lee (Hassler) Stinnett was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma on June 5, 2006. She began school at Legacy School in Claremore, attending through the fifth grade. There she played basketball, sang in the choir, and loved participating in the annual Christmas play. In sixth grade, she began attending Verdigris School, where she again sang in the choir, and sang many solos, even receiving a Superior rating on her contest solo.
Abigail was a gifted speaker, and a practical, easygoing person who loved to encourage others. In her spare time, she loved movies, especially the Marvel franchise, and animals. She had recently acquired an English Shepherd named Max. By far her favorite pastime was reading, and her favorite places were the library and Barnes & Noble. Her favorite books were adventure novels. In fact, she recently wrote her own book of more than 131 pages. She loved learning about history and hoped to one day be a museum curator. Her most favorite animal of all was the peacock. She had also recently begun learning the sport of archery, and she enjoyed her trip to Disney World.
She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Sam Stinnett.
Those left to mourn her passing are her parents, Duke and Cynthia Stinnett; grandparents
Ron and Darlene Hassler, Bill and Emma Lou Ray, and Radine Stinnett; Aunts and Uncles Garey and Shannon Hassler, Wayne and Donna Stinnett, Cindy and Dale Countryman, Scott and Angel Ray, Jerry Stinnett, John and Stephanie Ray, and Daniel and Beth Ray; also numerous cousins, friends, and extended family.
