Betty Jean Jensen

Service for Betty Jean Jensen is scheduled for 2:00 pm, Monday, January 29, 2018 at MMS-Payne Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Oakhaven Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Claremore, Friends may visit at the funeral home on Sunday, January 28, 2018 from 1:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m., with family receiving visitors from 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. Betty passed away at her home on Tuesday, January 23, 2018, with her family by her side. She was 83.
Born July 30, 1934 in Claremore, Oklahoma to parents Charles Edward Townsley and Velma Margaret Townsley, (Tacket). Betty graduated from Claremore High School in 1952 and was a member of The Church of Christ at 6th and Seminole in Claremore. Betty was the ER Admitting Clerk for Claremore Regional Hospital until her retirement. She was also a reading lab assistant for Claremore Public Schools.
Betty is survived by daughter Nancy Hindenburg and her husband Brad of Inola; son Mark Jensen and his wife Cheri of Claremore; granddaughters Kassy Sublett and her husband Chad of North Pole, Alaska and Kami Eckels and her husband Darren of Woodward, Oklahoma; grandson Kent Jensen of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Kory Hindenburg and his wife Patricia of Claremore, Oklahoma and Kenny Hindenburg and his wife Whitney of Claremore, OK; great-granddaughter Leesy Sublett of North Pole, Alaska; great-grandsons Conner Sublett, Neal Sublett and Blaine Sublett all of North Pole, Alaska, and Corbin Eckels of Woodward, Oklahoma; sisters Patsy Kirkland of Sand Springs, Oklahoma and Opal Orender and her husband Don of Inola, Oklahoma; and many nieces and nephews. Betty was preceded in death by her parents.
