Doc Woodrow Clinton

March 19, 2001 — June 19, 2020

Doc Woodrow Clinton was born March 19, 2001, in Claremore, Oklahoma. He went to be with his Savior on June 19, 2020. He was 19 years old. Doc lived on and loved the family cow-calf ranch, and was most at home riding his big grey horse to gather the herd for fall and spring works.

Doc enjoyed many years as an athlete and “Ag Kid” in our community. As a boy, he played football on the Claremore Red through CYFA. He also played little league baseball and showed livestock through the Sequoyah 4H program, exhibiting pigs and cattle that the family raised at the Rogers County Fair and the Tulsa State Fair.

As a student at Sequoyah Public Schools, Doc excelled in FFA, Trap Shooting, and Football. #33 loved playing under the Friday night lights in our community, showing his steers and heifers all over the nation, and competing for state championships in Trap. Doc was a Chapter FFA Officer, Vice President of the Maine-Anjou Association Junior Board of Directors, and competed in Meats Evaluation; he loved to put that particular skill to use at the Cattleman’s Steakhouse in Oklahoma City during FFA trips.

Doc was an avid outdoorsman and loved spending time with his friends on the lake chasing Crappie and in the duck blind with his Chocolate Lab, Drake. After graduating from Sequoyah High School in May of 2019, Doc worked for C4 Excavation and Clinton Creek Cattle Company and enrolled in EMT courses with the dream of becoming a firefighter and cattle rancher.

Doc is survived by his parents, Joseph and Candy Clinton of Claremore, Oklahoma; brother Wyatt Baker and wife Jodi, and niece Hazlee of Claremore, Oklahoma; grandpa Mitch Clinton of Claremore, Oklahoma; grandparents David and Charleen Prebble of Claremore, Oklahoma; Joe and Sue Spence of Tucson, Arizona; and several loving aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
