Donna Faye Elam

A memorial visitation for Donna Faye Elam will be 5-8 pm Friday, August 16, 2019, at Chelsea Funeral Home and Cremation Service. Donna passed away at Hillcrest Medical Center in Tulsa on Thursday, August 8, 2019. She was 65 years old.
Donna Faye Elam was born on August 24, 1953, to Louise (Thweatt) Jones and Andrew Jones, in Forrest City, AR, where she lived most of her life. She attended Palestine School from 1st through 12th grade. She has a brother, Larry Dale Jones, and a half-brother, Allen Shane Jones, both of Palestine, AR.
Donna married Roy Joe Elam of Chelsea, and together they had one son, Kyle Blake Elam. For most of her career, she worked as a caregiver for handicapped individuals. She also worked at Nordam Ins. for a time.
In her spare time, Donna enjoyed fishing, bowling, bingo, and cooking. She was especially known for her delicious pies. However, her grandchildren were her entire life. She loved noone more than them and her son Kyle.
Donna is preceded in death by her parents, Louise and Andrew "Tink" Jones, sister Sherry Kay Jones, Step-son Greg Elam, and both sets of grandparents.
Those left to mourn her passing are her son Kyle Elam, grandchildren Tiana and Tyler Elam, brothers Larry Jones and wife, and Shane and wife Angie Jones, all of Palestine, AR, nieces and nephews, Sherry, Chasity, Charity, Jeff, Michael, and Brittany, as well as many friends and family, and several children who called her Granny.
