Gary Dale Lane

Service for Gary Dale Lane will be 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 26, 2019 at MMS-Payne Funeral Home Chapel, burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery. Friends may visit at the funeral home on Monday, February 25 from 1pm-8pm, with family receiving visitors from 6pm-8pm. Gary passed away on Wednesday, February 20th, 2019. He was 69.

Born September 15, 1949 in Border, Texas to William Roy and Violet Lee (Kirkpatrick) Lane, Gary moved with his family to Wilson, Oklahoma, then Wetumka, where Gary attended grade school. In the early1960's they moved to Enid, and Gary graduated there with the class of 1967. Following his schooling he went to work with his dad at Wholesale Electronics. In 1999 he worked for Albertsons Grocery Warehouse and later began an 18 year career with Baker Hughes. There wasn't much Gary couldn't do, and he put his whole heart into every adventure. He was a hard worker and was always dedicated to his work.

His spare time was spent with his family. Gary enjoyed taking care of his yard and he was most happy mowing or tending to his garden. He would see someone in need and do his best to make their life better, never wanting recognition for his kindness.

Those family members that survive include his wife Tammy of their home; his son William Taylor Lane and his daughter Schanda Lane; his grandchildren Madison Anna Gardner, and Easton Tyler Gardner; and his brother Denny Lane and wife Shirley.
Gary was preceded in death by his parents and grandson William Jace Lane.
