James Clinton Malone

Funeral service for Chelsea resident James Clinton Malone will be 2:00 pm Thursday, November 15, 2018, at House of Prayer Holiness Church, with Pastor Denton Hubbard officiating. Burial will follow at Winganon Cemetery. Visitation will be at Chelsea Funeral Home on Wednesday, November 14, from 1-8 pm. Family will greet friends from 6-8 pm.

Clint passed away on Saturday, November 10, 2018. He was 78 years old.

He was born to Jim and Adelaide (Pool) Malone on September 30, 1940, in Pryor, Oklahoma. He spent his childhood years in the Bushyhead area before moving to Tempe, Arizona. As he was about to enter high school he returned to Chelsea. There he graduated from Chelsea High School in 1958. Chelsea was also where he met the love of his life, Betty Lou Wills. They would marry on February 11, 1961. The newly wed couple made their home in Chelsea. Clint then began working as a surveyor for George York in Claremore. He helped to survey many of the streets for the city of Claremore. Later, he spent some time in the construction business, and then worked for Rogers County District 1, before retiring after 22 years of service.

Clint loved to hunt and fish when time allowed. He also loved to tell stories. Most of all, he enjoyed time spent with his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James Edgar and Adelaide Malone, his brother Henry Malone, and his sister Maxine Glazebrook.
Clint is survived by his wife Betty; his children, Tammy Evans, Brownie Malone and wife Crystal, and Jimmy Malone and wife Vickie; grandchildren, Timmy Ray Malone and wife Jessica, Jessica Rae Malone, Kelly Jo Roberts and husband Trevor, Kyla Elizabeth Evans, Ashley Marie Mallory and husband Lucas, Corey Michael Schulze, Jeremy Wayne Schulze, McKayla Grace Malone, and McKenzie Faith Malone; Great-grandchildren Kaylee, Rhyder, Paislee, Raven, Drake, Larken, Derek, Falcon, Adreyonna, Ashton, Aaliyah, and Camry; and sister Malinda Davis.
