Janie Ruth Floyd

August 5, 1950 — June 10, 2021

Janie Ruth Warner Floyd was born August 5, 1950, in Mobile, Alabama to James and Lila Warner.  She attended schools in Mississippi, Arkansas, and Oklahoma, and graduated in 1970 from Claremore High School where she made some lifelong friends.  She enjoyed cooking, art, reading, listening to music, traveling, and sewing as a hobby.  Janie came to know the Lord at an early age, and enjoyed reading and discussing Bible topics.  She made a peaceful journey as she “Fought the good fight of faith” (1 Timothy 1:6).
In Claremore, Janie met the love of her life, as she affectionately called him, “Neal”.  As a devoted wife, she joined him as an Army wife & support of 20 years while doing three tours over the years to Germany, as well being stationed at Fort Sill, OK, both Savanah & Augusta, GA, and Ft. Riley, KS.  Together they raised two beautiful daughters, Angela and Rachel and are proud grandparents to two beautiful granddaughters, ‘CoCo’ and ‘Maddie’.
Survivors include her loving husband of 49 years, Henry O’neal Floyd, her two daughters, Angela Floyd and Rachel Purcell (Brad), two granddaughters Collette & Madeline,  two brothers,  John Warner and Ronald Warner (Verdell), both of Tulsa, Oklahoma, one sister, Shirley Warner-Beulah, of Claremore, Oklahoma, and sister-in-law June Ellen Warner, and host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Janie was preceded in death by her father James Warner, Sr., mother Lila Warner, and three brothers, James Warner, Jr. Alfred Warner, and Larry Warner, and one nephew Romond Warner.
