Memorial service for Jayne Ann Singer will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, June 4, 2020 at the MMS-Payne Funeral Home chapel.

Jayne Singer passed away on May 27, 2020 at her home in Chelsea at the age of 72.

The daughter of Jess and Ruby McLaughlin was born April 7, 1947 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. As a young girl she was raised in the Tulsa area, where she would attend Union High School. There she enjoyed participating in the band and serving as the head cheerleader. She was a member of the graduating class of 1965. After graduating Jayne married her high school sweetheart, Guy Singer on June 11, 1965 in Broken Arrow. The newlywed couple settled in Broken Arrow, where they would live until 2015.

Jayne would begin her working career at a local Tulsa business. There she served as a telephone operator. Eventually she would move on to GTE and then to Southwest Electric Power which eventually merged with AEP. She retired from AEP in 2000 as an administrative assistant.

In her spare time Jayne had many hobbies and past times that she enjoyed. She loved music and dancing, as well as traveling to places such as Disney World, where she loved to ride roller coasters. Another favorite destination was Panera, where she and her grandkids loved to go on the weekends. A few of her other favorite things were playing bunko, and serving as president of the Firefighters Wives Auxiliary.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Jess and Ruby McLaughlin.

Survivors include her husband Guy Singer III of Chelsea; daughters, Lisa Robertson of Chelsea, and Shannon Singer of Claremore; son, Guy "Dusty" Singer IV of Claremore; grandchildren, Jentry and Camden Robertson of Chelsea, Kinsey and Wyatt Singer of Claremore, and Zach and Maddie Singer of Chelsea.
