John Louis Gibson

March 6, 1943 — April 2, 2020

John Louis Gibson left his physical body as he wanted in his own home of 48 years on April 2nd, 2020. He was 77. Born on March 6th, 1943 in Pawhuska, Oklahoma. In the late 60's he joined the military serving in the National Guard, Navy, and Army. He returned home and in the early 70's and moved to Claremore. He was a plumber by trade and worked for Sharp Wash and Coinmach retiring in 2008. John loved to fish and hunt and especially loved spending time with his family and Bingo night with friends.

He is preceded in death by his daughter Judith Jan, his son Daniel Brian, and grandson Trey. His parents Hoot and Edith Gibson, baby sister Judy and big brother Richard Gibson.

He is survived by his Catherine of 33 years, daughter Dorene Marie, and 2 nephews Travis and Curtis and great granddaughter Emmalyn.

His son Matthew Edward and wife Tami with 3 grandsons, Johnathan, Zander and Leni and 1 granddaughter Sharyn.

His sister Linda and husband Bob, nephew Jeff and niece Jennifer also his baby sister Dorothy and husband Larry, niece Lori Beth and nephew Chuck.

His late brother's wife Connie and numerous great and great-great nieces and nephews.

There aren't enough words to describe what a kind and caring man he was. I never once heard him use the word no when someone needed help.
