Long time Claremore Resident John Harvey Thomas, died Monday, at the age of 80. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, August 4th at the Akdar Shrine, 2808 S. Sheridan Road, Tulsa, OK.
John was born to Parents Leo Oliver Thomas and Lena Million on May 22, 1937. He retired as a supervisor from Southwestern Bell. He was a Veteran, and was actively involved in the Akdar Shrine of Tulsa. He was also an avid football fan, having played football himself in high school. He and Martha were married in Tulsa on October 20, 1962.
John is survived by his wife Martha of the home, two sons; Kris John Thomas, and Ryan John Thomas, both of Claremore, two daughters; Dayna Anne Hohman of Afton Oklahoma, and Sherri Renee of Tulsa. and two brothers, Richard Thomas of Ramona, Oklahoma, and Douglas Thomas of Tulsa. 12 Grandchildren and 13 Great-Grandchildren
John was preceded in death by his parents, one son and 6 brothers.
Memorials may be made to Tulsa Akdar Shriners.
