Kenneth James Blair Sr.

Service for Kenneth James Blair, Sr. will be 11:00 a.m., Monday, October 19, 2020 at Bethel Free Holiness Church, Chelsea, burial will follow at Dawes Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1pm-6pm Sunday, October 18, 2020 at Roland Free Holiness Church, Roland, Oklahoma. Kenneth passed away on Tuesday, October 13, 2020. He was 73.

Born March 20, 1947 in Galena, Missouri to Hobert and Lowrena (Wilson) Blair, Kenneth moved with his family to Chelsea and it was here he received his education. He graduated high school in 1965 and was drafted into the US Army in 1966, where he proudly served his country until 1968. When he returned from his service duties, Kenneth married Anna Pauline Conley on August 23, 1968. The couple lived in Vinita and later Chelsea.

Kenneth's working career began at Peabody Coal Company, where he operated heavy equipment. After 25 years of service, he took a job at Four D Energy, Kenneth finished his working career with APAC. On January 2, 2009, he married Doris Blair and they lived for a time in Chelsea and later moved to Roland, Oklahoma.

Time spent with his family was most important to Kenneth and he loved having his grands and great grands around. He enjoyed fishing and bird watching, and spent each morning on his porch reading the newspaper. Kenneth's church was also very important and he attended each service and gave of his time. He loved going to camp meetings each year and would attend as many as he could.

Kenneth was preceded in death by his wife Anna Blair, his parents, his grand daughter DaRena Calvert, great grandson, Trace Blair, and step grand daughter, Amber Rodgers.

Those family members that survive include his wife Doris Blair, children Kenneth James Blair, Jr., and Kimberly Calvert and husband Kenny; his siblings Rachel Williams, Roy Blair and wife Jeanette, Don Blair, Rebecca Blair, and John Blair and wife Brandy; his grandchildren Trenton Blair and wife Vanessa, Brent Blair, Shae Robertson and husband Chris, Dustin Blair, DaLesa Hayles and husband Stan, DaRayle Calvert and wife Rachel, and DaLaina Calvert; great grandchildren Brookes Blair, Macey Blair, Ava Blair, Taygan Blair, Braxton Blair, Tinsley Blair, Zoey Robertson, Spencer Hayles, Taylon Hayles, and Kynleigh Calvert; step-children Brenda Green and husband Eddie, Sondra Rodgers, Timothy Grant and wife Gayvonne, Andrea Cottrell, Mark Grant, and Matthew Grant and wife Kasey; step-grandchildren Trina Bush and husband Brian, Edward Green and wife Amanda, Rebecca Bingham and husband Jared, Tabitha Patterson and husband Tim, Shawn Green, Brandon Gregory, Shane Gregory and wife Brandi, Chris Gregory, Alyssa Massey, Jayven Grant, Dewayne Cottrell and wife Michelle, Andrew Cottrell and wife Jonna, Krista Grant, Brooke Starkweather and husband Dennis, Colden Carter, Levi Grant, Logan Grant and wife Tamela, Sailor Grant, and Baylee Grant; 44 step-great grandchildren, 7 step great great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
