On January 16th, 2019, Larry Wayne Rock, of Claremore, passed from this life into the presence of the Lord. He was sixty-four years of age. After battling multiple physical challenges for a decade, Larry was finally released from all pain and experienced his ultimate healing.

Larry was born on January 5, 1955 in Stilwell, Oklahoma, to Ralph Willard Rock, and Wilma Lois (LaRue') Rock. He was the second of four children; Cheryl Bradford, his older sister, David Rock and Tony Rock, his younger brothers. He went to Claremore Public Schools, and graduated with honors as part of the Class of 1973.

Larry attended Northeastern State University for one year and transferred to the University of Tulsa where he completed one semester before deciding to work for his father's business full time. He worked alongside his father and brothers at R&S Auto Parts, Inc. (NAPA) in Claremore. Larry and his brother David recently celebrated "55" years of doing business in the home town they loved to serve.

Larry began dating Rhonda (Warman) Rock in 1973, and they were married on September 13, 1975. In 1977, they were blessed with their daughter, Melissa Marie (Rock) Walker, and three years later in 1980, they rejoiced at the birth of their son, Nathan Wayne Rock.

Larry was devoted to his family and lived an exemplary life of faithfulness to his Lord, and family. They worshiped and served at Claremore Assembly of God Church for over twenty-eight years. Larry was involved in every aspect of the church, serving as Sunday School Superintendent, a Deacon, and sound technician. He loved the Lord and was passionate about reaching the lost, and was generous with his support to many local and global missionary efforts.

He was just as passionate about his Sooners and St. Louis Cardinals. He lived to bless his family, especially his five grandchildren. He was known to frequently dig into his pocket and hand each on some "walking around" money. He loved to watch them compete in sports as well as music and band activities.

Above all things, Larry cherished his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Despite much suffering, he battled with great grace and patience.

He was preceded in death by his parents; Ralph Willard Rock, Wilma Lois (LaRue') Rock, and his sister Cheryl Lynn Bradford. He is survived by his wife, Rhonda K. Rock of Claremore, his daughter Melissa Marie Walker of Orlando, Florida, Son-in-law Bob Walker, and son Nathan Wayne Rock and daughter-in-law Stefanie Rock of Wichita, Kansas. His grandchildren, Caleb Walker, Eden Walker, Aaron Walker, Emily Rock, and Ethan Rock. He is also survived by his brother David Rock of Claremore, and Tony Rock of Tulsa, and numerous neices and nephews, and an extensive family and friends.
