Patricia Ruth Olson

Visitation for Patricia Olson will be held on Friday, June 7, 2019 at the MMS-Payne Funeral Home Chapel.

Patricia Ruth Olson passed away on Sunday, June 2nd, 2019 at the age of 76.

The daughter of William Hensley and Rita Posten McGraw was born February 4th, 1943 in Oakhurst, Oklahoma. She was raised in that area until moving to Pryor in the mid 1950's. A few years later she would met and marry Eldon Guthrie. This marriage would take her and her family to Enid. Eventually the marriage between Patricia and Eldon dissolved. She then met and married Joe Olsen. The newly wed couple then moved to Claremore in the mid 1970's. Claremore then became her permanent home. She began working for a local janitorial service, and even returned to school to earn her GED.

Patricia didn't have many hobbies or pastimes. However she did enjoy browsing the local thrift stores looking for bargains. The things that she truly loved was her family. She always looked forward to spending time with her children and grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Joe, brothers, Bill and John Hensley and sisters, Geneva Sperry, Barbara Freeze and Phyllis Borders.

Survivors include her daughters, April Pochen of Claremore and Elizabeth Guthrie of California; grandchildren, Heath Bellamy, and Kristen Floyd; great-grandchildren, Jaxon Bellamy and Alayah Floyd and brothers, James Hensley and Gene Hensley.
