Graveside service for Phyllis Fox will be held 2:00 p.m., Friday, December 20, 2019 at Woodlawn Cemetery in Claremore. Pastor Sam Nichols will officiate.
Phyllis Dean Fox passed away on Wednesday, December 18, 2019 at the age of 89.
The daughter of Lawrence and Wilma Willett Fry was born July 27th, 1930 in Verdigris, Oklahoma. She was raised in Verdigris where she first attended school. Her high school years were spent in Claremore. She graduated as a member of the class of 1948. On October 27, 1950, Phyllis married Bobby Fox in Bentonville, Arkansas. The newly wed couple made their home in Claremore.
Phyllis's working career started at Crosby McKissick in Tulsa. After over 40 years of service she retired there as an Executive Assistant.
In her spare time Phyllis enjoyed fishing, traveling and spending time at the lake in her rv, and playing gin rummy.
She was preceded in death by her husband Bobby and sister Coralie Rice.
Survivors include her son Tim Fox and wife Alicia of Claremore, and granddaughters, Allison Fox and Stephanie Robertson and husband Micah.
