Ralph William Most

Funeral service for Ralph William Most will be held 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 21, 2018 at the Epworth United Methodist Church. Burial will follow at the Chelsea Cemetery under the direction of the Chelsea Funeral Home & Cremation Service. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 20, 2018 from 1-8 p.m. with family greeting friends from 6-8 p.m.

Ralph William Most, passed away at home on November 17, 2018, at the age of 96, surrounded by family.

He was born in Chelsea, Oklahoma on June 27th 1922 to John and Emma Harrendorf Most. Ralph attended Chelsea Schools graduating with the Class of 1942. Five Months after
graduation he was drafted into the United States Army. Serving until being honorably discharged in 1945. Upon his discharge Ralph returned home to Chelsea. One day while eating at the old "Pig in the Pin" restraund he met Ruth Mizer who was working as a waitress. They began dating and were married on Oct 25 1949 in the Baptist Church in Claremore. They made their first home above the old Rexall Drug Store and Rodger was born in that apartment the following year. In 1956 the couple purchased their house on Willow street, where they lived for the rest of their lives.

Ralph could do just about anything working as a carpenter, a plumber, restored furniture and as an Iron Worker and he also Owned and operated a Pool Hall in Chelsea finally retiring in 1984. One of his favorite past times was spending time on his son's farm always helping with whatever needed to be done. He loved getting on the floor and playing with the grand-children and great-grandchildren. Playing cards with his friends at Senior Citizens had become a favorite activity on Fridays.

Ralph was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Ruth, Daughter Nona Wilson, Grandson Mike Wilson, his four brothers, and seven sisters.

Survivors include his sister, Lorene Fry of Chelsea, son Rodger Most and wife Annie, grand children, Mark Wilson and wife Debbie of Verdigris, Vicki Schaefer and husband Jack of Collinsville, Troy Most of Claremore, Wayne Most and wife Holly of Claremore, Stacy Morgan and husband Lee of Chelsea. Great-Grandchildren Tyler Wilson, Alyssa, Sarah and Donovan Schaefer, Melissa Gardner and husband Jimmie, Yvette Snap and husband Andy, Jack Most and wife Bailey, Hanna Most Maxson and husband Steve, Wyatt Most, Noah Morgan and Wife Sheena, Courtney Choate and Husband Drew and Freddy Morgan; great great-grandchildren, Braden, Adam, Ryan, Christopher, and Ellie Snap, Jake, Madilyn and Joe Gardner, Addilynn Most, Emmett Most, Colt Maxson, Logan Choate, and Kendall Campos.
