Funeral service for Ardith Amelia Paris will be 1 p.m., Mon., April 25, at MMS-Payne Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Richard Billings officiating. Burial will follow at Floral Haven Memorial Gardens, Broken Arrow. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Sun. 1-6 p.m., family will receive visitors from 3-5 p.m.
Ardith passed away Fri., April 22, 2016, at Brookdale Assisted Living, Tulsa, at the age of 89.
The daughter of Arthur Stanton and Edith Marvin Stanton was born Sept. 27, 1926, in Blackwell. The family moved throughout Oklahoma while Ardith was growing up, finally settling in the Chelsea area in her teen years. She married Paul Eugene Paris on July 30, 1945 in Chelsea. They made their home in Claremore for a couple of years, before moving to Tulsa. Ardith was a homemaker, and a long time member of East Tulsa Church of God. She and Paul enjoyed traveling together; and she loved to spend time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Ardith is preceded in death by her husband, Paul; son, Douglas Eugene Paris; her parents; grandchildren: Jason Paris and Deborah Shaw; and siblings: Yvon Hall, Virginia Foley, Arlo Stanton, and Elva Marlow.
She is survived by her daughter, Kay Lowe and husband, Roger of Cookson; siblings: Verna Keltner and husband, Kenneth of Claremore, and Joan Garrison of Catoosa; grandchildren: Lisa Cunningham and husband, David of Wylie, TX, Greg Jackson and wife, Brenda of Broken Arrow, and James Lowe and wife, Vicki of Tulsa; 12 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
