Butch Carter

Funeral service for Lloyd Allen "Butch" Carter will be 10 a.m., Fri., March 27, at Chelsea Assembly of God with Pastor Allen Dunn officiating. Burial will follow at Winganon Cemetery under the direction of Chelsea Funeral Home & Cremation Service. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Thurs. 1-8 p.m.

Butch passed away Tues., March 17, 2015, at Hillcrest Hospital Claremore at the age of 55.

The son of James Albert Carter and Ruth Mary (Davis) Carter was born Jan. 24, 1960, in Riverside, CA. Around the age of 5 Butch and his family moved to the Foyil area. There he began attending Foyil Schools, and then later he attended Chelsea schools. On April 20, 1981, Butch married Janie Park and they had three children: Patrick Allen Carter, Derrick Lee Carter, and Nicole Denise Carter. For the next several years Butch worked as a Welder to help support his family. Eventually Butch and Janie went their separate ways. Then on January 9, 2011 he met Brenda Lee. They married in Chelsea on March 24, 2012. It was around this time that he began working at the Big A Ranch for Bob Anderson. This was a great fit for Butch because he loved being in the outdoors. In his spare time he enjoyed cruising the back roads, and fishing. However his true love was spending time with his children and grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his father,James Carter.

Survivors include his wife, Brenda, mother, Ruth Davis; children, Robert White and wife Lacy, Patrick Carter and wife Ashley Holt, Derrick Carter and wife Jessica Gillen, Lyle Gillen and Nicole Boynton and husband Willie Ingle; grandchildren, Gabriel, Raegan, Hannah, Jaxon, Piper, Dominic, Caven, Blake, Dalton, Jacob, Isaiah, Damion, and Alexander; brothers, Jim Carter and Ronnie Pat Cleary, and sisters, Sherry Carter, Lora Carter, Sussie Carter, and Shelia Carter.
