Faye Neel Jones

Funeral service for Faye Neel Jones will be 2 p.m., Wed., Sept. 10, at the Chelsea Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Garry Wilson officiating. Burial will follow at Chelsea Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Wed. 9 a.m.-1 p.m.
Faye passed away Sun., Sept. 7, 2014, at her home at the age of 87.
The daughter of Truman Alfred and Cora May (Brooks) Neel was born Dec. 4, 1926, in Lunenberg, AR. Around the age of 15, she moved to Northeast Oklahoma. She then traveled throughout the United States doing evangelistic work. In 1962, she boarded a train with her 5 children from Yakima, WA, to Chelsea to live. Faye worked at a steel company in Alluwe and later worked at the local sewing factory. She retired in the early 1990's. Faye enjoyed gardening vegetables and flowers, and animals, especially birds.
She is preceded in death by her son, Truman Jones; 2 brothers, and 2 sisters.
Faye is survived by her children: Kenneth R. "Tiger" Jones and wife, Florina, Grady Jones and wife, Janet, Darlene Jones, and Pauline Jones; grandchildren: Melissa Fair, Amy Jones, Trase Jones, Joseph Jones, and Nikolla Jones; and 8 great-grandchildren.
