Mary Claudine Meyer

Funeral service for Mary Claudine Meyer will be 2 p.m., Fri., Nov. 21, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Adair. Burial will follow at Bethlehem Lutheran Cemetery under the direction of the Chelsea Funeral Home & Cremation Service. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Thursday 1-8 p.m.

Mary passed away Wed., Nov. 19, 2014, at Choctaw Nation Nursing Home, Antlers, at the age of 84.

The daughter of Maxwell and Corrie (Robbins) Bales was born June 21, 1930, in Mayes County. Mary graduated from Adair High School, and later married William Duane Meyer. They lived in Tulsa and Tiawah before moving to Chelsea, where they ran a dairy. Mary enjoyed making crafts, gardening and reading. She loved her church family, and visiting with her family and friends.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband, William in 1985; her parents; son, David Allen Meyer; and grandson, Tracy Meyer.

She is survived by her children: William Lee Meyer and wife, Patsy of Chelsea, L. Sue Emmett and husband, John of Antlers, and Steven P. Meyer and wife, Kitty of Claremore; brother, Ed Meacham and wife, Kay of Claremore; sisters, Vivian Purvis of Claremore; 6 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
