Virginia Lane, wife of the late Alfred R. Lane, was a longtime resident of Ponca City, Oklahoma.
She was born in Fayetteville, Arkansas to O.G. and Mabel Pollock. She moved with her family to Ponca City when her father was made Manager of the famous 101 Ranch. She lived on the ranch and worked part time in the general store while attending Ponca City High School.
After graduating, she married Alfred R. Lane whom she had met when they were both attending PO HI.
She was active in the Asbury Methodist Church for many years until her health declined.
She is survived by two sisters, Nancy Proffit and Mary Lou Johnson, both of Grove, OK, and one brother Merl Pollock residing in Illinois.
She is survived by two sons, Michael Lane of Fairfield, CA and Joe Lane of Claremore, OK.
In accordance with her wishes, she will be cremated and no public service will be held.
