Bryan Duane Fly

September 5, 1970 — August 25, 2021

Bryan was born on September 5th, 1970 in Ventura, California to parents Danny and Sharon Fly. He married Kennie Jo Sanders on June 7th, 1997, a union that blessed them with their son, Kody Duane Fly, September 12th, 2000. Bryan began working at McKee Foods in 1992, where he remained until 2018 after more than 25 years of loyal service. He enjoyed spending his free time drawing, hiking, singing, and fishing. He was an avid fan of baseball, remaining a lifetime supporter of the LA Dodgers.
He went to be with his Lord Jesus on August 25th, 2021 at the age of 50. He is survived by his father, Danny Fly, and mother, Sharon Fly, of Claremore, OK; a sister, Bridget McCoy, and brother-in-law, Danny McCoy, of Claremore, OK; two nieces, Breanna Swicegood, her husband, Jake Swicegood, and Brandi Buckner, of Claremore, OK; and a soon-to-be great niece, Lyla Swicegood, of Claremore, OK. He was preceded in his passing by his grandparents, JC and Erma Lee, of Paris, AR, and Paul and Beulah “Boots” Fly, of Stilwell, OK.
The act of encouraging others and strengthening them in the Lord was a passion of Bryan’s. Engaged in reaching out to others and continuing to point them to Jesus as their own personal hope and strength was what Bryan did. Don’t just talk about ones faith, act on one’s faith. His stance on life was best expressed in the following excerpt of his writing: “The enemy does not dare come anywhere near where the King of Kings is because the enemy is a defeated foe.” “If the enemy decides to attack…remember “he is already defeated”, the battle is not ours but Gods (2 Chronicles 20)” – Bryan Fly
