The son of Alfred and Martha Gardner Amos was born July 6, 1963 in St. Joseph, Missouri. There he was and attended Lafayette High School, graduating with the class of 1981. Dallas began his working career around the age of 14, working for United Department Store. After several years there, he decided to make a career change and moved to Claremore, Oklahoma. Then there was his love of tractors. He loved buying tractors and the parts to restore them. His latest restoration project however was his 1953 Chevy truck.

He is preceded in death by his father Alfred Amos Sr. and brothers, Alfred Amos Jr., and Christopher Amos.
