David Chaney Royse

May 25, 1947 - February 8, 2022

On Tuesday February 8th, 2022 David Chaney Royse went home to be with the Lord at 74 years old. He was born on May 25, 1947. in Columbus, Ohio. He was chosen by Hubert and Marvelle Royse and enjoyed a privileged childhood. Hubert was a reputable comedian known as "Mr. Wiggles" and was featured on the Ed Sullivan Show. Marvelle insisted on David not growing up in Hollywood and they moved to Dayton, Ohio. David's adolescence was spent tinkering with hands on trades like plumbing, carpentry and electrical works. He learned to work on cars, motorcycles and used these skills later on home improvements. He received a masters degree at Wright State University in Aerospace engineering. He excelled in his work life as an engineer working at General Motors, Gaffey, and Americrane and retired in January 2021. David enjoyed traveling and doting on his wife Mary. They took numerous trips from Rhode Island to New Mexico. David was a member of the Oddfellows, charitable brotherhood in Chelsea, Oklahoma. David was a devoted husband and attended every family holidays and get togethers. He prided himself on being the grill master at those functions. He liked to stay busy, and was always in the middle of a project. David will be missed in so many ways. He will be remembered fondly in the hearts of all whose lives he touched.
