George Wesley Moseley entered into eternal rest on May 5, 2021 at the age of 93 Years 4 months. Services will be 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 11, 2021 at MMS-Payne Funeral Home Chapel. Friends may visit at the funeral home on Monday, May 10th, from 4pm-7pm, George was born to John Albert & Lena (Hall) Moseley on January 25, 1928, in Swartz, Louisiana, the third child of eleven George was their oldest son. He had six brothers and four sisters. George left home to join the Merchant Marines when he was 16 years old to help the WWII effort and to see the world. He was honorably discharged 1945. George retired as a crew chief from American Airlines in 1996 after a 40 year career. George is preceded in death by his devoted wife of forty-eight years Joan Marie (Cripe) Moseley and their son George Moseley Jr. Son Gary Moseley Sr. from his first marriage also preceded him in death. His parents and brothers Leonard, Albert, Joseph, Clifford along with sisters Mae, Jean and Dessie. When George wasn’t hard at work, he enjoyed spending time with his family, coaching his son’s little league baseball for many years and working on his car collection. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to others in need and created a legacy in the way he lived his life. He loved telling his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren about all the ways the Lord had blessed him. Those left to cherish his memory include his wife JoAnn Wright of Claremore, OK. Sons Daniel Moseley of Claremore, OK., Micah Moseley and wife Coreen of Owasso, OK., Daughters Pamela Richards and husband Paul of Claremore, OK. Michelle Bradsher and husband Henry of Oologah, OK., Donna Walton of Weatherford, TX. Nineteen grandchildren: Gary Moseley Jr., Christopher Bruton, Chad Bruton, Brittani Purdy, Nicole Payne, Andrea Newby, Jared Foster, Austin Richards, Ashlee Richards, Darin Loudermilk, Danelle Hancock, Kortney Moseley, Kenzy Moseley, Amanda Howell, Kyle Moseley, Ryan Moseley, Elijah Hammond, Sarah Hammond, Seth Hammond. Thirty Great-Grandchildren and seven GreatGreat Grandchildren. Brothers Charles Moseley of Fairfax, VA and James Moseley of Fort Worth, TX. Sister Eddie Williams of Winnsboro, TX. In addition to his beloved nieces, nephews and friends.
