Luana Kay Hering

Services will be held at Memorial Heights Baptist Church on March 1st, 2022 at 2pm. with a lunch and celebration of life at Memorial Heights, after the graveside service. Viewing will be February 28th, 2022 at Musgrove Merriott Smith from 4pm-8pm; family will be receiving visitors from 6pm-8pm.
Luana, called “Kay” by many, departed from this world on the morning of February 22nd, 2022. Luana bravely battled cancer for several years, but it never stopped her from putting a smile on the face of anyone she encountered.
Luana was born in Claremore, Oklahoma on March 2nd, 1959 to loving parents Betty Jo Seaton-Foreman and Woodrow Foreman. In her secondary education days, she attended Justus School where she was an active 4-H member and participated in school cheer. Upon graduating, Luana attended Claremore High School where she graduated in 1977 surrounded by her friends and family.
After taking time to travel, Luana met her loving husband, Mark in June of 1993 in Tulsa. They were soon married on April 16th, 1994 in Claremore and welcomed their daughter Megan a few years later in October of 2000.
Luana had many occupations but her favorite was being a Master Gardener and Nursery Specialist at Lowe’s in Claremore. Her hobbies included gardening and decorating both inside and outside their home. She was most proud of the beautiful landscaping she created alongside her husband. They were both active members at Memorial Heights Baptist Church in Claremore for many years.
Her beautiful life will forever be cherished by those she is survived by: husband, Mark Hering; daughter, Megan Hering; brother, Steven Foreman and companion, Nettie Miller of Nowata, OK; niece, Amber Patty and family of Broken Arrow, OK; niece, April Rowell and family of Broken Arrow, OK; nephew, Adam Foreman and family of Broken Arrow, OK; niece, Karen Hamby and family of Athens, GA; nephew, Chuck Pettyjohn and family of Monroe, GA; and a host of devoted nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, and friends.
Luana is preceded in death by: mother, Betty Jo Seaton-Foreman and father, Woodrow Foreman; step-mother, Dilla Hanks-Foreman; brother, Robert Smith; nephew, Robert E. Smith Jr.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Clarehouse in Tulsa and Memorial Heights Baptist Church can be made in Luana’s name.
