She spent her childhood in Wichita, and graduated from Southeast High School in 1968.  She then enrolled at Wichita State University, where she was a two-sport athlete playing field hockey and softball, while majoring in Physical Education.

They began dating and were married on May 22, 1988.  They shared a long and love filled life in Claremore where she became active in the community with her sorority sisters of Beta Sigma Phi, playing countless hours of co-ed softball.

Duffy also loved going out and trying new places to eat, dancing until her feet hurt, hanging out by the pool, and spoiling her children and grandchildren. She loved trips to sandy beaches, Big Cedar lodge in Missouri, and visiting her boys in Dallas. She was also an avid animal lover, especially of her precious cats and dogs.
