He enlisted in the US Navy following his graduation from high school and served his county proudly during the Vietnam War. The couple made their home in Missouri for the first few years before moving to Oklahoma.
Rick had several hobbies that included restoring old cars, constructing model airplanes and boats. He was an active member of the VFW here in Claremore and loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, who lovingly called him Puga.
Those family members that survive include his wife Mary of their home; his son Jeff Lynch of Columbia, Missouri; his daughter Angela Hinds and husband Jordan of Claremore; his grandchildren Brynlee and Kamden Hinds; his sisters-in-law Earlene Nichols of Skiatook and Brenda Robertson and mate, Stan Shriver of Wappapello, Missouri; his brother-in-law Roger Blunkall and wife Patricia of Claremore and many nieces and nephews.
