Robert Valdo Ellison

Memorial service for Robert Valdo Ellison will be 1:00 pm Friday, December 14, 2018, at First Christian Church of Claremore. Robert passed away Friday, December 7, 2018. He was 57 years old.
Robert was born in Claremore on February 2, 1961. He graduated from Inola High School. In May, 1986, Robert married Brenda Harvey. Two children were added to this union.
Robert worked as a welder, until an injury caused him to retire. In retirement, his favorite activities were helping out with church activities, such as drying dishes for church dinners and helping with garage sales. He also enjoyed watching Star Trek, and later Star Trek reruns, over and over. He loved watching his grandchildren play soccer, and tending his tomato and flower gardens.
He was a hard worker, a skilled welder, a loyal family man, and one who loved helping those in need. He was baptized in the Church of Christ in 1987, and rededicated his life to the LORD at the First Christian Church in 2016. His long time pals, Charlie and Rockie, were a great comfort to him.
Robert was preceded in death by grandparents Valdo and Irene Ellison, and Robert Bennett, and great-grandparents John and Irene Powers, and Mose and Minnie Bennett.
He is survived by parents Don and Gail Mullen, daughters Brandi Gail Smith and husband Steven and Rachel Ellison, eight grandchildren, and siblings Carrie Eubanks and husband Steve, Scott Mullen and wife Sherri, and Jon Mullen and wife Debbie.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Robert's memory may be made to First Christian Church youth, 200 E. 5th Street, Claremore, Oklahoma 74017.
