Allen Lamont passed away on Christmas Day, December 25, 2022 at the age of 90. Allen was born to Melvin and Ruby Bayless in Colcord, Ok on October 29th, 1932.  Allen grew up in Colcord and attended Colcord High school. During his last years in Colcord High School he felt the need to serve his country and enlisted in the U.S. Navy for four years. After his time in the service he came back home and received his GED.
    He worked as a production planner for many metal fabrication companies over the years. He married the love of his life Doris Ann Kindy on August 9, 1951 the couple settled down and lived in Tulsa and Owasso, later retiring to Claremore. He enjoyed volunteered with the DAV VFW and Lions Club. He also was part of the Silver Haired legislature and Grand Gate Way.  One of his biggest accomplishments was building a model Navy ship USS Batan CVL 29 by memory, which is displayed in the J.M. Davis Gun Museum in Claremore, Oklahoma.

   Allen and Doris Ann enjoyed going to the USS Batan reunion all over the U.S. every year to visit with Allen's old ship mates. Some of his other hobbies included fishing, boating and taking their RV to camp at the local lakes. He was a handy man and could build anything, while teaching his sons the carpentry craft of building homes.
   He is preceded in death by his parents, Melvin and Ruby Lamont. 

   Allen is survived by his wife Doris Ann Lamont; Sons, Bruce Lamont, Edward Lamont and wife Laraina; Brother, Bill Lamont and wife Allene, one grandchild and three great grandchildren.
