Arthur Ray Brewer passed away on December 15, 2025, at the age of 86. He was born on November 17, 1939, in Mobile, Alabama, to John E. Brewer and Sula E. (Tanner) Brewer.

Arthur spent his early years in Turnerville, Alabama while attending Citronelle school system in Mobile County

where he graduated in 1959. He later began his working career at Scott Paper Company, where his strong work ethic and attention to detail were evident from the start.

While attending Bristow Campmeeting in Bristow, Oklahoma, Arthur met Janice Wilson, they began dating and were married in August of 1961. Following their marriage, they moved briefly to Oklahoma before returning to Alabama, where they lived for the next 14 years. Eventually, they made Oklahoma their permanent home.

In Oklahoma, Art would begin a long and successful career in the aeronautical industry, working first for Rockwell International and later for American Airlines. His precision, dedication, and thoroughness earned him widespread respect and accolades throughout the airframe division.

Following the passing of his beloved wife Janice, Arthur later met and married Peggy Morris. Together they shared 13 years, enjoying time together and traveling whenever possible.

Faith was a cornerstone of Arthur’s life. For many years he was an active member of Trinity Holiness Assembly of God in Owasso, and more recently attended Westside Holiness Church in Claremore. Over the years, he faithfully attended, ministered in music, and wherever he was needed.

Arthur's family and friends were everything to him. When Brent and Aimee got weary of him taking videos and photos, he would always say, "Someday you'll appreciate these." He was right.

In his spare time, Arthur enjoyed playing the guitar and attending gospel guitar jam sessions, deer and turkey hunting, and fishing whenever he had the opportunity. He also remained a lifelong fan of Alabama football, a passion he never outgrew. Arthur never met a stranger. When he would stop at a gas station, he would visit with people who were pumping gas while his family waited patiently in the car.

Arthur is preceded in death by his parents, John and Sula Brewer; his first wife, Janice Brewer; brother, Junior Brewer; and sisters, Merita Roberts, Mary Dixon, Betty Moses, and Anne Templeton.

He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Peggy Brewer; children, Brent Brewer and Aimee Sampson and husband Kerry; grandchildren, Mitch Brewer and Joshua Sampson; great-grandchildren, Anna, Austin, and Aldean; Stepchildren, Diane Blythe, (David) Kathy Adams, (Kenny) Laura Smith, (Steve) Tammy Helmka, (Jason) and Carla Bohlen (Tad) and numerous grands and great grands.
