A memorial mass will be held on Thursday, June 1, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at St Cecilia Catholic Church.
Beatriz Sosa Carrasco Barnes was Born on February 17, 1930, in Santiago Panamá to Manuel and Isabel Sosa Carrasco. She married JD Barnes, US Army, and moved to the United States in 1962 with their son Ediberto Josef.
After losing her son and JD, Beatriz continued working for Murphy until she met Bert Quigley and moved to Claremore where she lovingly cared for him and his grandson and family.
After losing Bert Quigley, she spent these past 20 years continuing to enjoy life with John Royer and her extended loved ones.
Beatriz loved cooking, coffee, fishing, crafting with friends, playing cards and dancing. She will be missed by many friends and family.
She is preceded in death by her spouse JD Barnes and son Ediberto Joseph Barnes.
Beatriz is survived by her children” Ken and wife Carol Secor;
grand children Russell and wife Suzie Woods; Great- Grandchildren Robert and wife Sarah Woods, Bethany Woods, Beatriz Woods
Great-great grandchildren Jaxon Woods, Brooklynn Woods
Along with many family members in Panamá.
