Betty Ann Couch

May 14, 1937 — December 23, 2022

Betty Ann Couch passed away on Friday, December 23, 2022.  She was 85.

Born May 14, 1937, in Torrance, California to Rupert Jay and Elva Ann (Everhart) Cross, Betty attended schools in Mira Costa, graduating with the class of 1955.  Her brother introduced her to his friend Billy Couch, and on December 24, 1955 the two were married.  California was home until 1976, when they moved to Chelsea.

Betty took great care of her family and made sure they had everything needed to navigate life, often doing without herself.  She taught by example of how to tackle any project and work until the goal was met, she was the poster woman for "DYI".  Betty loved music and played the bass guitar along with her husband who played the steel guitar.  They would get together with other musicians in Chelsea, Grove and Afton and play music.  This also became a time for fellowship and she made many friends through the years.  Betty was a baker and worked at Homeland, Reasors, and WalMart in their bakery.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents Rupert Cross and Elva Boeckman, her husband Billy Couch, her siblings Jim Cross, Barbara Tellier, and Lois Walker.

Those family members that survive include her children Debra Lynn Livingston, Sherry DeNell Bickford, Richard Allen Couch, and Jeffrey Eugene Couch; grandchildren Kristie Sullivan, Michael Livingston, Kimberly Jackson, Cody Couch, Brandon Bickford, McKenzie Mowery; 8 great grandchildren.

Private family services are planned.

Those who wish to honor Betty's memory may contribute to Canoe Brook Assisted Living, activity fund, 20102 East Admiral Place, Catoosa, OK 74015.
