Bill Minor passed away on June 12, 2026 at his home at the age of 82.
On November 3rd 1943 Billie Earl Minor was brought into this world by his two loving parents Geniveive and B.E. Minor. Bill was the 6th born in a family of 9. Growing up Bill and his family lived and loved a simple life. While in high school he decided to enlist in the United States Army, where he served as a tank commander and was based in several states through out the US. While based in Washington, his oldest child and only daughter, Tammy was born. Shortly after her birth, they moved to Oklahoma, where he continued to work hard and establish what is now known today as Minor Electric. Bill and his brother in law started the company back in 1967. During that period, his oldest son was born, Charles. A few short years later, his two youngest sons were born Rodney and Robbie. While continuing to work hard, his sons would soon join him in the family business. Together they built a company that served thousands of people within Oklahoma, as a well respected and honorable business.
In his downtime, Bill loved the outdoors, he was an avid hunter and fisherman. In 1993 he met his bride, Loranna. They would also build a life of love, adventure and happiness. In 1996 they built their home on the hill, where he would add patios and flower beds, and anything else Loranna wanted, he was an excellent carpenter and known to work well with his hands. Bill built a home away from home in Arizona, where they would spend many years establishing traditions, memories and many friendships. Bill was no stranger to good whiskey and a good western. A famous line from John Wayne states, “Tomorrow is the most important thing in life. Comes into us at midnight very clean. It's perfect when it arrives and it puts itself in our hands. It hopes we've learned something from yesterday.” Throughout hard times, Bill worked harder, carrying honor and integrity everyday, all while loving his family deeply. This is what his legacy leaves.
Bill is survived by his siblings Ray, Helen and Zelma. Loving wife Loranna, Children Tammy & Tommy, Chuck & Stacy, Rodney & Jennifer, Robbie & Danita. Grandchildren; Terran, Augustus, Cody, Madison, Kolten and Reba and multiple great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews, along with many friends over the years.
He will be missed immensely and his memory will be treasured for a lifetime
