Charlotte Gail Garrison began her eternal rest on Thursday, May 4, 2023. Charlotte was born to Charles Harlen Rust and Thelma Ree Caudle Rust on February 25, 1948 in Stillwater, Oklahoma. She attended schools in Stillwater, Oklahoma until her Sophomore year of high school. She graduated from McClain High School in Tulsa, Oklahoma in 1966.
Charlotte received her LPN degree from The University of Central Oklahoma and then her RN degree from Rogers State College. Her nursing career of over 50 years allowed her to care for others, which was her passion.
Charlotte married the love of her life, Don, on July 31, 1970. They were married 52 years. In that time they had three children, Donnie, Steven, and Charla Dawn. Charlotte was a member of First Baptist Church Inola, Oklahoma. She loved the Lord with all her heart. Charlotte loved to do cross stitch, making bells, watching OKC Thunder basketball and OSU Cowboys. There was never a dull moment when her sports were on TV.
Charlotte is preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Thelma Rust; brothers Donald Ray Rust and wife Barbara Rust, Dale Edward Rust, sister Loretta Mae Green and husband Rev. Urban Green; Brothers-in-law Ernie Bays, Fred See, Ted Garrison and wife Verneita Garrison; Sister-in-law Shirley Trimble and son Donald Charles Garrison.
She is survived by her husband Donald Garrison of the home; daughter Charla Dawn Garrison of the home and grandson Joshua Jewell of Fort Smith, Arkansas; son Steven and wife Misty Garrison and granddaughters Emmylou and Eliza of Tulsa, Oklahoma. Sisters Rozella Bays of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma and Louella Hall of Stilwell, Oklahoma; Sister-in-law Sharon Rust of Stilwell, Oklahoma; Debbie Barngraff of Fairfield, California, Darlene See of Vacaville, California, Sharon and husband Shannon Beevers of Roseburg, Oregon; Brother-in-law Robert Trimble of North Highlands, California. She is survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
