Charlotte Viola Wear

Charlotte Viola Wear, affectionately known as Charlie, passed away peacefully on July 6, 2023, in Tulsa at the age of 76. She was born on April 29, 1947, in La Junta, Colorado, to Charles Edward and Georgia Mae “Pat” Thorp.
Charlie spent most of her life working as a packer for the Solo Cup Company in Ada, Oklahoma. Her dedication and hard work were evident throughout her career. She later transitioned to the Deli department at Walmart in Claremore, Oklahoma. 
Education played a significant role in Charlie's life. She attended Manzanola High School in Colorado and graduated with the class of 1965. Her thirst for knowledge and love for learning inspired those around her.
Beyond her professional accomplishments, Charlie had a variety of interests that brought her immense joy. Genealogy was one of her favorite hobbies – she derived great pleasure from unraveling the threads of her family history and connecting with distant relatives. As a history buff, she was fascinated by the stories of the past and cherished every opportunity to dive into historical narratives.
Charlie was deeply rooted in her faith and found solace within the walls of her church. Her unwavering belief served as a guiding light throughout her life, providing strength and comfort during challenging times.
Above all else, Charlie valued her family and cherished every moment spent with them. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Jerry Wear but leaves behind a legacy of love through her children and grandchildren. Her son William Wear and his wife Brandy, Cindy Wear, Charlie's daughter. The joy of being a grandmother brought immense happiness to Charlie's heart. Tanner Wear, Sean Tarr, Trevor Tarr, Tristan Tarr, Hope Wear, and Grace Wear held a special place in her life. 
Charlie also leaves behind her sisters Twila Basham and husband Dan, and Stephanie Cullinane husband John along with many nieces and nephews.  Charlotte Viola Wear brought immense love and laughter into the lives of all who knew her.
