Cheryl Denise Long

Funeral services for Cheryl Denise Long will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 25, 2026, at the Inola Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery.

Cheryl was born on January 5, 1960, in Benton, Arkansas, where she spent part of her childhood. Her family later moved to Oklahoma, settling in the Catoosa area. She attended school there and graduated with the Class of 1978. Following high school, she enrolled at Dickinson Business School.

During that time, she met Kenneth Long, and the couple married in 1979. In the years that followed, Cheryl devoted herself to raising her family while also working full-time in the insurance industry.

In her spare time, Cheryl enjoyed watching investigative crime shows and completing crossword puzzles and word searches. Above all, she treasured spending time with her family and her beloved dog, Laney.

She was preceded in death by her father, Herbert Wayne Rickman, and her brothers, Jeff and Tony Rickman.

She is survived by her mother, Tommie Rickman; her sons, Shane Long and wife Ashley, and Ryan Long and wife Allison; her grandchildren, Fisher, Evan, and Easton Long; and many other extended family members.

Cheryl will be remembered for her devotion to her family and the quiet joys she found in everyday life.
